CERRETO LAGHI, YOU CAN HAVE FUN EVEN ON THE RIDGE

Cerreto Laghi is a small town located in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. It is in the municipality of Ventasso and owes its name to the presence of small lakes scattered throughout the surrounding area, which are a great contrast to the dense Apennine vegetation.

Cerreto Laghi is the perfect place to relax and to dive into long hikes, walking, mountain biking or horseback riding, but there are also many attractions to have fun with your friends.

In the winter period the ski facilities are open from December until April 15, if snow allows it.

In the summer, the ski lifts are open in the months of June, July and August.

In total the area has 6 slopes of varying difficulty for a total of 15 km of descents, 5 km for the bottom, artificial snowmaking systems on three quarters of the area, an ice rink with 2000 seats, and  well-kept hotel accommodations for 600 beds.

During the winter it snows almost every year allowing for a lot of fun activities.

The ski slopes become a playing field for winter sports enthusiasts, but you can also go snowshoeing in snow-cat trails.

The evenings come alive with traditional festivals and celebrations that carry on ancient customs. Cerreto is filled with sparkling lights and festive music, while the scent of mulled wine spreads through the air. For young people there are very often parties like the 'apres-ski', an aperitif with a DJ where all teenagers dance in good company.  Cerreto is very famous for its great New Year's Eve festival when all the bars are full of people on the night of December 31. In addition, there are not only people from the mountain,  but also people who come from more distant places, such as La Spezia or Massa Carrara.

If you want to have an alternative day at Cerreto, there is an ice rink where you can have fun.

The structure of the ice rink is equipped with the Olympic track 30×60(1800 square metres), perfect for any activity on the ice, and there are:

-2 stands for the public;

-Crate and skate rental;

-Double toilets for the public including the disabled;

-4 changing rooms approved for all sports with toilets and showers;

-2 changing rooms for referees and competition judges with services and showers;

-First aid and infirmary with toilets.

Prices are quite low and children up to 12 years old have reduced admission.

However, the structure is now closed, but it should reopen soon.

If you want to relax and do quieter things, there are many other activities. You can take really pleasant hikes or walks in the middle of our fantastic Apennine landscape.

There are four main lakes which are of glacial origin: the smallest are Le Gore Lake and  Dark Lake, but there are also other small ponds and peat bogs that together constitute a valuable system of humid mountain environment.

Cerretano Lake is best known because it is located in front of the ski slopes and the main square of the town.

The largest, Pranda Lake, is surrounded by greenery and is surrounded by dense beech forests; during the summer season it is ideal for relaxing picnics immersed in nature and is frequented by trout fishermen, while during the winter season it is perfect for cross-country skiing.

Ten hiking trails of various lengths develop around the tourist resort of Cerreto Laghi.

The shortest has a duration of 40 minutes, the longest about 4 hours.

These are the paths: yellow, orange, pink, red, green, purple, blue, light green, brown and light blue. These routes, put in order from the easiest to the most challenging, all start from the square of Cerreto Lake and all arrive at the same place and all have white / red signs. If you feel like eating the typical local specialties and menus, there are various restaurants where you can eat very well with products often sourced at zero kilometres, such as mushrooms, wild boar or berries.

In conclusion, Cerreto Laghi is a precious place for our Apennines, because it is one of the few amenities where there is still a lot of life and where there are many things to do and many fun activities.

CERRETO LAGHI, PUOI DIVERTIRTI ANCHE IN CRESTA

Cerreto Laghi è un piccolo comune situato nell'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. Si trova nel comune di Ventasso e deve il suo nome alla presenza di laghetti sparsi nel territorio circostante, che fanno molto contrasto con la fitta vegetazione appenninica.

Cerreto Laghi è il luogo perfetto per rilassarsi e tuffarsi in lunghe escursioni, passeggiate a piedi, in mountain bike o a cavallo, ma ci sono anche tante attrazioni per divertirsi con gli amici.

Nel periodo invernale gli impianti sciistici sono aperti da dicembre fino al 15 aprile, se la neve lo consente.

In estate gli impianti di risalita sono aperti nei mesi di giugno, luglio e agosto.

In totale il comprensorio dispone di 6 piste di varia difficoltà per un totale di 15 km di discese, 5 km di fondo, impianti di innevamento artificiale su tre quarti del comprensorio, un palaghiaccio da 2000 posti, e curate strutture alberghiere per 600 persone.

Durante l'inverno nevica quasi ogni anno consentendo molte attività divertenti.

Le piste da sci diventano un campo da gioco per gli appassionati degli sport invernali, ma è possibile cimentarsi anche con le ciaspole sulle piste battute dai gatti delle nevi.

Le serate si animano con feste e festeggiamenti tradizionali che portano avanti antiche usanze. Cerreto si riempie di luci scintillanti e di musica festosa, mentre nell'aria si diffonde il profumo del vin brulè. Per i giovani molto spesso si organizzano feste come l'apres-ski, un aperitivo con dj dove tutti i ragazzi ballano in buona compagnia. Cerreto è famosissimo per la grande festa di Capodanno quando la notte del 31 dicembre tutti i locali si riempiono di gente. Inoltre non c'è solo gente della montagna, ma anche gente che viene da luoghi più lontani, come La Spezia o Massa Carrara.

Se volete trascorrere una giornata alternativa al Cerreto c'è una pista di pattinaggio dove potrete divertirvi.

La struttura del palaghiaccio è dotata della pista olimpica 30×60 (1800 mq), perfetta per qualsiasi attività sul ghiaccio, e sono presenti:

-2 tribune per il pubblico;

-Noleggio crate e pattini;

-Doppi servizi igienici per il pubblico compresi i disabili;

-4 spogliatoi omologati per tutti gli sport con servizi igienici e docce;

-2 spogliatoi per arbitri e giudici di gara con servizi e docce;

-Pronto soccorso e infermeria con servizi igienici.

I prezzi sono piuttosto bassi e i bambini fino a 12 anni hanno l’ingresso ridotto.

La struttura però per ora è chiusa, ma dovrebbe riaprire a breve.

Se vuoi rilassarti e fare cose più tranquille, ci sono molte altre attività. Potrete fare delle escursioni o delle passeggiate davvero piacevoli in mezzo al nostro fantastico paesaggio appenninico.

I laghi principali sono quattro e di origine glaciale: i più piccoli sono il Lago Le Gore e il Lago Nero, ma vi sono anche altri piccoli stagni e torbiere che insieme costituiscono un pregevole sistema di ambiente umido montano.

Il Lago Cerretano è conosciuto soprattutto perché si trova di fronte alle piste da sci e alla piazza principale del paese.

Il più grande, il Lago Pranda, è immerso nel verde ed è circondato da fitti boschi di faggio; durante la stagione estiva è l'ideale per rilassanti picnic immersi nella natura ed è frequentato da pescatori di trote, mentre durante la stagione invernale è perfetto per lo sci di fondo.

Dieci sentieri escursionistici di varia lunghezza si sviluppano intorno alla località turistica di Cerreto Laghi.

Il più breve ha una durata di 40 minuti, il più lungo circa 4 ore.

Questi sono i sentieri: giallo, arancione, rosa, rosso, verde, viola, blu, verde chiaro, marrone e azzurro. Questi percorsi, ordinati dal più facile al più impegnativo, partono tutti dalla piazza del Lago Cerreto e arrivano tutti nello stesso luogo e sono tutti muniti di segnaletica bianco/rossa. Se avete voglia di mangiare le specialità ed i menù tipici locali, sono diversi i ristoranti dove potrete mangiare molto bene con prodotti spesso a chilometro zero, come i funghi, il cinghiale o i frutti di bosco.

In conclusione, Cerreto Laghi è un luogo prezioso per il nostro Appennino, perché è una delle poche località dove c'è ancora tanta vita e dove ci sono tante cose da fare e tante attività divertenti.
