Why do people choose to be volunteers?
First of all, volunteering is the best way to spend your free time, you can share your moments with other people who need help. Being a volunteer means never being alone and realizing that you can be useful for someone else. Indeed this is one of the best satisfaction and improves your self confidence.
A volunteer is someone who gives his time, his love and shares with others their personal skills without expecting to receive something back. But, to be honest, it always ends up that we receive more than what we have given. This is why people continue to do it, because volunteering gives you happiness, energy and serenity.
Have you ever heard of a class to become a volunteer? Obviously not, there are no rules to be a volunteer. Trustworthy there is one rule: be yourself. People learn to be a volunteer doing it.
But you don’t have to forget that when you help others you also have responsibilities because someone else is trusting you.
In addition, the people we meet are also the people who help us to know ourselves better. Volunteering is a way to discover new realities and realize how lucky we are. Living our lives in a different way helps us to become less selfish and teaches us to be a part of a team. There are a lot of ways to be a volunteer: joining a local association to help people who need medical assistance (Croce Verde/Rossa), joining an association that gives young students the opportunity to spend a year studying abroad (Intercultura). There are also local associations that help the community like grandparents who offer their time to help all the kids to do their homework and have fun together. In our village also the church has an important role.
On the other hand, there are some people who think that being a volunteer means wasting time. They think that using your time helping others without a reward makes no sense.
In conclusion, we can assure you that there are no reasons for you to stay at home doing nothing but using your devices all day. So, why don’t you try to be a volunteer? It could be strange for some but we’re sure that it would be helpful for everyone.

Perché le persone scelgono di fare volontariato?
Innanzitutto, il volontariato è il modo migliore per trascorrere il tuo tempo libero, puoi condividere i tuoi momenti con altre persone che hanno bisogno di aiuto. Essere un volontario significa non essere mai soli e rendersi conto che si può essere utili a qualcun altro. In effetti, questa è una delle migliori soddisfazioni e migliora la fiducia in se stessi.
Un volontario è qualcuno che dona il suo tempo, il suo amore e condivide con gli altri le proprie capacità personali senza aspettarsi di ricevere qualcosa in cambio. Ma, ad essere onesti, finisce sempre per ricevere più di quello che abbiamo dato. Per questo le persone continuano a farlo, perché il volontariato ti dà felicità, energia e serenità.
Hai mai sentito parlare di un corso per diventare volontario? Ovviamente no, non ci sono regole per essere volontario. C'è una regola: sii te stesso. Le persone imparano ad essere volontarie nel farlo.
Ma non devi dimenticare che quando aiuti gli altri hai anche delle responsabilità perché qualcun altro si fida di te.
Inoltre, le persone che incontriamo sono anche le persone che ci aiutano a conoscerci meglio. Il volontariato è un modo per scoprire nuove realtà e rendersi conto di quanto siamo fortunati. Vivere la nostra vita in modo diverso ci aiuta a diventare meno egoisti e ci insegna a far parte di una squadra. Ci sono molti modi per essere un volontario: entrare a far parte di un'associazione locale per aiutare le persone che hanno bisogno di assistenza medica (Croce Verde/Rossa), entrare a far parte di un'associazione che offre ai giovani studenti l'opportunità di trascorrere un anno di studio all'estero (Intercultura). Ci sono anche associazioni locali che aiutano la comunità come i nonni che offrono il loro tempo per aiutare tutti i bambini a fare i compiti e divertirsi insieme. Nel nostro paese anche la chiesa ha un ruolo importante.
D'altra parte, ci sono alcune persone che pensano che essere un volontario significhi perdere tempo. Pensano che usare il tuo tempo per aiutare gli altri senza una ricompensa non abbia senso.
