Tourism in cities and in our mountains
In Italy, we have a lot of beautiful and incredible cities, so more and more tourists come to visit them every year.
Tourists usually prefer going to popular places and as a consequence, in our areas, where there are mostly mountains, not many of them come to visit, though we have a lot of beautiful landscapes. There is the problem of facilities and attractions too, sometimes little villages like ours don’t have enough to appeal but also host tourists, especially the young ones.
Of course it depends on the type of vacation a person likes. People who would like to visit our area are more likely to be people who like calm, wilderness, excursions and relax rather than nightlife, busy places and packed schedules. Should our territory make some changes and add some facilities in order to increase tourism?
That is a hard question, probably unsolved.
On the other hand, big cities have too many of them.
One of the cities that attracts the most tourists is Venice, because of its picturesque scenery, but during the years that has become a problem.
But why does over-tourism damage Venice?
First of all, the population has been decreasing for several decades because of many factors, for example, an increased cost of living, less availability of houses, and a lower quality of life.
Secondly, the worst problem caused by over-tourism is pollution both of the city and the canals, because of the back and forth movement of the ferries and boats. A possible solution that Venice has introduced this year is a tourist tax for day-trippers, depending on how busy the city is. The price would be six on normal days or three euros during quieter times up to a maximum of ten euros when there are too many tourists.
In our opinion, Venice is one of the cities to visit at least once in your life, but we have to be conscious of our negative impact and try to reduce it. Instead our towns should be enhanced so that they can attract more people.

Turismo nelle città e nelle nostre montagne
In Italia abbiamo molte città bellissime e incredibili, quindi sempre più turisti vengono a trovarci ogni anno.
I turisti di solito preferiscono andare in luoghi famosi, e come conseguenza nelle nostre zone principalmente montuose, non molti vengono a visitarci sebbene abbiamo un sacco di paesaggi meravigliosi.
C’è anche il problema delle strutture e delle attrazioni, a volte i piccoli paesi come il nostro non hanno abbastanza per attirare ma anche accogliere turisti, soprattutto se giovani.
Naturalmente dipende dal tipo di vacanza che piace a una persona. Le persone che vorrebbero visitare la nostra zona sono più probabilmente persone che amano la calma, la natura selvaggia, le escursioni e il relax piuttosto che la vita notturna, i luoghi affollati e le giornate fitte di impegni.
Il nostro territorio dovrebbe apportare qualche modifica e aggiungere qualche struttura per incrementare il turismo? Questa è una domanda difficile, probabilmente irrisolta.
D’altro canto le grandi città ne hanno fin troppi di turisti. Una delle città che attira più turisti è Venezia, per via dei suoi paesaggi pittoreschi, ma negli anni questo è diventato un problema. Ma perché il turismo eccessivo danneggia Venezia?
Innanzitutto la popolazione diminuisce da diversi decenni a causa di molti fattori, ad esempio l’aumento del costo della vita, la minore disponibilità di case e una minore qualità della vita.
In secondo luogo, il problema peggiore causato dal turismo eccessivo è l’inquinamento sia della città che dei canali, a causa del movimento avanti e indietro dei traghetti e delle barche.
Una possibile soluzione che Venezia ha introdotto quest'anno è una tassa di soggiorno per gli escursionisti, a seconda di quanto è affollata la città. Il prezzo sarebbe di sei euro nei giorni normali o di tre euro nei periodi più tranquilli fino ad un massimo di dieci euro quando ci sono troppi turisti.
Secondo noi Venezia è una delle città da visitare almeno una volta nella vita, ma dobbiamo essere consapevoli del nostro impatto negativo e cercare di ridurlo. Le nostre città dovrebbero invece essere valorizzate affinché possano attrarre più persone.
